The quiet country roads offer spectacular road cycling with some low level options as well as steep climbs and descents.  The rivers and reservoirs are not only great for walking but also fishing, sailing, canoeing and kayaking.  Enjoy a number of nature reserves and feast your eyes on a wide range of birds and animals that make Teesdale their home or breeding ground.  Team up with Outdoor adventure specialists and try gorge walking, climbing or other thrilling activities whilst surrounding by amazing scenery. 

Hamsterley Forest has miles of forest track for walking and biking together with an orienteering course. There are also specialist grading sections of mountain bike tracks together with an extreme descent track for those who enjoy a kick of adrenaline.
